13 September 2015

The LaPorte Salvation Army in partnership with the First Church of God is bringing internationally known Illusionist and motivational speaker Tom Coverly to LaPorte on Wednesday September 16th, 2015.  Mr. Coverly addresses many topic’s which impact our youth on a daily basis in one way or another. E.g. Bullying, teen suicide, cutting, drug and alcohol use.

During the school day Mr. Coverly will be speaking to both Kesling and Boston Middle Schools and at LaPorte High School. At 6:00 PM, there will be an additional “show” at the First Church of God, located at 2020 East Lincolnway, which will be significantly different than the presentations in the schools.  Greg Irwin, Envoy for the Salvation Army, attended one of Tom's events and says that this will be a life changing day for many youth. Make the investment of time, you will not regret it...

Tom Coverly's first time ever in church was as a suburban Philadelphia pre-teenager. Tom literally thought the pastor was cursing when he first heard, "Jesus Christ" out of the pastors mouth. That night, Tom discovered Jesus is not a swear word, but now his best friend & Savior. Tom got started doing magic tricks at 18 years old while attending Bible college earning his bachelor’s degree in pastoral ministries.   For more information on Mr. Coverly, go to http://www.tomcoverly.com/.
